Meaningful Activity for People with Dementia is a popular choice for staff who are responsible for co-ordinating activities for people with dementia within a care setting. This two-day course is normally run twice a year in Stirling.
The Best Practice in Dementia Care Programme is a six part self-study course for front-line staff. DSDC trains a senior member of the staff to act as a facilitator to deliver this programme to eight staff members using a cascade approach.
The Effective Leadership in Dementia Care Services Programme has been designed to share best practice for leaders and managers working in dementia care settings across health and social care, private organisations and the third sector. DSDC is the only centre to offer specially-designed training for those with leadership and management responsibility for dementia.
DSDC is also working with housing and social care providers and agencies from all sectors on bespoke training and development programmes.
